Between the Nature

We live in an island, we are surrounded by water, and we have the most attractive beaches. I had gone to Guajataca’s beach a lot of times, but every time that I visit it, I take pleasure of being there. Guajataca has a tunnel constructed with bricks, also has a way that brings you up to a rocks wall. Walking by the road that brings you up to the rocks wall, you see the wave’s breakers rocks, you see the panorama, the water that refresh the environment, and you feel the wind. There are some caves, you can see between the caves, and it is really awesome. I love to walk, and this place is perfect to do it. Guajataca is a place very diverse, it has the beach to enjoy it, and it has the tunnel with the caves and the beautiful view to walk and enjoy it too. Guajataca is a place to get calm.

The Most Beautiful Sunset

I was in my grandma’s house, her house is in Morovis. From her house you can see the towns that are around Morovis (panoramic view), you can see also the coast of our beautiful island. Behind her house, there a lot of trees and animals, there is a guava’s tree… so delicious. When the sun falls down, from the roof… WOW, the view is very beautiful, majestic. The wind blows in your face, and you can breathe the nature, you can shine like sun. The sunset remind me a sunset from a movie. It takes too many colors, every day the sunset is as beautiful and different as ever. The sky looks sometimes orange and red, sometimes rose, purple and blue, and sometimes yellow and rose or yellow and purple. There too many forms to the sky look great. The time pass so fast, but you can enjoy it, you can enjoy this few minutes watching the sky and the vegetation. In Puerto Rico are the best sunsets of the whole world.

My Expression to Nature

Today I not feel well because I am sick but no matter what I am going to my place to have a little bit of peace. I need to walk a little bit but I can do it. Is to hot outside of my house, but I have faith that down there is coldest. Is very sunny today the sky has many different white clouds that have different forms like a elephant. Now I am in my place I like this place is too green and I like that.

The water is cold, very cold. Today I can see fishes in the water and that is great because I like shinny fishes swimming in the crystal water. The fishes are shinny gray and shinny blue. The water is very calm. But you can listen the water falling down in the little waterfall. You need to be here to see this magnificent place.

Another Beautiful Day In Nature

Today I am little bit tired because I don’t sleep well. But in spite of I am sitting here in my favorite place to reflect and react about nature and me. In this morning everything I quiet but the only thing that I listen are the different birds singing. Unfortunately I can’t see any birds, but for the song I can said that one of the birds are a “pitirre” and the other are the “ruizseñor”. These birds are good singers and his songs are pretty. I love this place for these things that have.

Today the water is calm. I can’t see any shiny fishes in the water. Why? I don’t know but I know that are there. Like I said before everything is quiet, ok time to reflect…

Nature Journal

Wow!! for about 5 months, I'm coming here to make this journal. I admitthat at first it was quite strange to come here alone, with a notepad and a pen, and having to write all I see whith details. But as the months passed the little details, connected me to the place, because if you know every detail of this, eventually become a part of you, because you know and you can see when something is missing or change in the environment. This shows that the human being, when you link with nature can find hundreds of answers simply because they have this connection complements us, as individuals and to be complete we can see what we're missing.

A Wonderfull Day In My Natural Place

Oh! Another day in my natural favorite place. Today I feel great is a new day of life. We can see the people that we love again. And this place have another day of plenty life. Is very green down here a beautiful place, the trees, the leaf, and the lizards, everything green. I don’t know how this place feel like, but for me I think that the nature of this place feels happiness about everything that he have, and the different types of life that live here. Today the animals are outside of his homes or refuges. Today a different day like others!

Everything is different, I think, because I can listened a bunch or birds singing. I can’t see any but I heard his songs. The lizards are jumping trees to trees and they are eating. The sky is very blue without clouds. Today are going to be a wonderful day for this place and animals, but especially for me!

"Coki...Coki"

I'm in the family room looking outside the window and I can see the moon and the trees moving because of the wind. I hear a noise, but I can't define what is it very well. Now I'm paying a little of attention to it and I realize that the noise are the animals out side. I'm thinking and now I can say that its not a noise, it's the sound of our treasure: the nature.

All nights I fall asleep a little mad saying: "Oh my God, what's that noise". Now I feel a little bad with those animals out there because I was saying that they were a noise that bothered me. I'm sorry now and I promise not to say that again and that I'm going to hear them a little moment every night because they are part and family of the nature. Good night folks.

My Front Yard

This time I'm sited looking down. I remember the times when I was little and did this too. The front yard that I'm looking is mine. I say mine because it's the front yard of my house and I feel it. I love to see the flowers moving because of the wind and because the sun make its colors too beautiful. I played since I was little and I all ways remember those great times I had peaceful and colorful place.

I can only remember all those moments sited here in front of this winded front yard of my house and have a retrospection to the moments that I felt free where I was a little girl. I love looking all plants, flowers and trees all by their self that I have here. In this front yard live a lot of animals and I like to see them happy because of the grateful habitat they have.

Nature Team-Work

I'm sited here near my family, but I'm not listening to them. I'm looking at a little bird in a tree. It's like if he is packing something, like if he is leaving. Then another bird came and stopped near the other bird and he started to help him to pack. I'm in shock, I can't believe that birds are so intelligent. then I saw them leaving and after it, it started to rain.

I'm sad about them because they have to leave whenever it starts to rain. But I still in shock because they knew that it was going to rain before they leave. Now, I was thinking and I realize that being a bird isn't that bad. They're free and they go wherever they want whenever they want. I looked up to see if I see them again and I saw a bunch of more birds leaving their house to go to a secure one. Bye little friend! God bless you!

What’s surround me? NATURE

There is a place named: The Swallows’ Cave (Cueva de las Golondrinas), is in Isabela, and is near from a beach, “El Pastillo” Beach. To arrive at the cave, is necessary pass by Guajataca’s Tunnel and walk for a long time. I really enjoyed walking at the beach, feeling the sand and the wind, hearing the waves, and watching the birds that were part of this perfect moment. The beach is really beautiful, and so lonely, I think that it is the sea, not just a beach; but not is here what I want to show, I’m coming to the cave. I’m still walking, is really too much the time to arrive to the cave, but it pass faster, because everything distracts me. I am at the final of the way, the cave is here. It is really huge; it’s like a hole or a cavity inside the mountain, in front of the sea. There is lot of swallows (golondrinas), there is too many swallows flying around the cave, flying and turning to the cave. I can stay here watching that birds flying surround me, and don’t get bored. I am really enjoying this. Always the swallows are here, flying at the cave, at The Swallows’Cave.

My Time of Reflection in My Wilderness Place

Today I am sitting here in my wilderness place to watch and learn about the nature. Here is a very bit dark that outsite because the sky is cloudy. Is dark because the tops of the trees cover the sky and this make like a roof of the house because to go to ths place you need to go deep. Today everything is quiet you can't listen the birds singin the only thing that I listen is the water moving and some "coquies" singing a little bit.

I think that everything or animals are in her houses because you can't see animals today. Sometimes you can see 1 or 2 lizards running in the trees trunks. For me I think that animals are in refuge. If the animals are in refuge that means that something are going to happen because animals feels a lot of things about nature. Now the sky is very very cloudy, here is very dark that means that a shower is coming to wet everythnig and make the creek to grow in water.

A Perfect Place

Today is a great day. The weather is cool, the sky is clear, don't hear any noise that is extraneous to this place. This place fits perfectly with my mood and I think that's why I'm here today.

The sky is clear and I'm under this tree like the first time but without the same concerns or rather others. If you ask me now because they chose this place, I would say something very different to what I say earlier. This place beside being beautiful is great and strong because in spite of hurricanes and heavy rains, still here and continue to impose the time, people and himself.

Summer's Time

Wow! Great experience! Guavate River, I think that is in Cayey, near from Patillas. You need to walk for a long time, cross the river, walking by shorts bridges, and get wet your feet. That’s was awesome! The first thing that you can distinguish, obviously, is the water, then you can see a lot of vegetation, too many kinds of trees, palms, and ferns; you can see falling down trees; and you can see the bridges for the rest of the way. The river is very clean and beautiful; after walk and walk, you find the part that you can begin into the river. That’s the funniest part. There was a waterfall, a little one. The water is so cold, but you can pass all day in there, because you can enjoy it.

First breeze of May

I'm surrounded by trees. I feel the warm breeze of early May, touching my face. The shade of the mango tree keeps me hidden from the sweltering sun. I hear rustling the branches of trees around me blowing gusts of wind.
The land is dry and feels the heat. The birds sing merrily about me. I can feel the environment fills me with peace. I let my self be trapped by the liability environment. All my worries are silenced. I just let myself go and enjoy my time alone.
Minutes later I open my eyes and I admire the blue sky, I think it is beautiful and immense I relax watching the distant cloud and I get excited I weight that about flying around him to Spain.

Nature is part of my life

The sun shines in the sky surrounded by clouds as white as snow. I stop to admire it and continue my walk towards my place in the middle of the woods. It fell's like if it's mine and that it is part of my life. Here surrounded by diverse nature I feel connected to everything around me.
I breathe and my lugs are filled with pureness of clean air. As I continue to move I admire every thing I have close to me. The mango trees are beginning to flower soon they will be covered with small flowers. I sit on my pink blanket. I let my lay down and I observe a big grapefruit tree that is full of rip fruit of brilliant yellow. For an instant, I’m afraid of being hit by one of these fruits. I’m beginning to feel sleepy and I fall to sleep.

"Tanama" River

I'm sitted on the rock in front of the "Tanama" river. The climax is very cold but it isn't too cold. The sun is right over here but the trees don't let the rays to pass and change the climax. I can't reach to see the sky very well but I can see that there isn't too much clouds. I see the animals enjoing the sun light and the cold water. I see fishes moving all around this area and birds moving from tree to tree. Right now the animals made me to want to go to the water again.

Now I'm more relaxed and the sun is falling down, so the temperature is going down too. The animals are going to their habitats and the birds are wisteling more and more. I think it's time for me to go because the way to go out from this river is very long. The only thing I could say to finish is that being at the "Tanama" river is pricless.

The Sounds of Nature

Is strange, but the day is like my mood. Is calm, nothing moves, no breeze. The sky look very clear. No voices are heard even from the house of my grandmother. The only thing I can hear is the sound of a Gray Kingbird(Pitirre). I guess should not be so far.

Now I see the Flamboyan better, the nest was with the two eggs, is not longer. I don't know if Ileft because I didn't see the last time. I come, but I hope it has been for that, not that scared.

My Moment in the Nature

Today I am sit here in a rock to see what happen today. The place is to quiet the only thing that I listen are the "coquies" singing. The sky is a little bit grey... I think that are going to rain but more later. Is a little bit cold down here because I am very close to the water. In the water I can see small bright fish. In a little hole I can see a little crab. In the background of my view are a small waterfall.

This place looks very natural because the humans don't go here. And I think that if the humans don't go here this place are going to live for a long time. We need places like this to come and meditate about much things that we need to resolve or make. And this place help me to meditate about myself and I like that. I am here from about an hour and now is starting to rain I like that because down here the rain is like a music.

The beauty of simplicity

Today is a good day to be here. This sunny but cool. All are ... normal. Noise, lots to do, but it is good to work or do something, to clear the mind or simply for being occupied or help. Today I have energy to do all things, so I started by going to a small river that is below.

Everything is more lost, I guess as no longer come here, the road has-been eroded. There are pieces of tree to tree that fell two months ago. Here are lizards, birds, small frogs. The creek is dry almost that day because the pieces of the tree that fell are blocking part of the water, which also is not very abundant. But I'm glad it so that people do not try to "beautify", because what they actually do is destroy what little remains of nature.

Springtime

It's 10:00 a.m. and I am sitting at my habitual place between the creek and the woods. I listen to the birds sing accompanied by the crickets and the sound of the current water. I observe my surroundings and I am invaded by the peace which is transmitted by familiarity of my wilderness place. I can see the trees which are now familiar. I notice that they are changing. Some have floweres while others have given fruit. I breathe and savor the aroma of lemmon's mixed with the fragance of grapefruit. I find myself surrounded by three flowering mango trees.
There are anthills next to the pathway that give way to my wilderness place. They are big and the land around them are of a redish brown color, as I make way towards my place in the woods I almost step on one of those peculiar mounts full of small creatures laboring.
In the creek there are many small transparent fish. The creek is narrow and long with rocks at its sides. The rocks are smooth by the constant flow of the water current. It's sunny day and it is reflected in the clarity of it's water. It is very hot and I can feel the sun burning my skin. I find some shade were to hide. I place myself under a leafy orange tree. I can see its ripe oranges that are of deep orange color. I take one of them and eat it. It's juicy. I a few as many as I can take in my hands and I start to walk toward the pathway. I set close to it and I move away from my special area. Immediately I feel the need to return and be part of nature.

Great Afternoon

I’m in the beach of Ocean Park. I see people, not too close to me, walking on the sand. On the front I see the sun coming down, the clouds turning to orange color and the moon coming up. I also see the waves coming more often and the trees moving faster because of the wind. I feel very big peaceful in this place. It is nice to be writing here, but I can’t write too much because I feel great with my eyes closed.
I woke up and all in the sky is different. Everything is obscure now. Now I see the moon very brilliant white and round. The clouds are grey and the sky is black. The wind is now more fresh and cold. The only thing that I can hear is the sound the shocking waves and the wind whispering into my ears. I remember me in this same scene when I was a little girl and I remember that saw a lot of stars. I’m really mad because right now I can’t revive that scene of me talking to the thousands of stars because of the contamination.

The bug in the twisted tree

I went to a place near to my house. The firt time that I went to this place I was think that it looks like Terabithia, beacuse it remaind me the place f the move: "The Bridge To Terabithia".
There were a lot of trees, I donk know what kind, but some of them were twisted and very mouldy. One of them looks like falling down, but still alive, the same tree makes like a bridge, I love it. In this place, were too a lot of ferns.
I heard a lot of birds, but I didn't see anything. I just saw too many branches of differents kinds of trees. There were also a lot of climbing plants everywhere.
I found an insect, its head and middle back were red, and the rest of its boby were yellow.

Me under the tree

Well I was sitting under the tree and it began to rain, the drops were like little sunshine’s on my face. The day was hot but a little fresh air came in once in a while making me forget the pains that made my day very sad. The tree was making a noise that’s not annoying, it’s a noise that didn’t stop but I didn’t want it to stop because that was how I got concentrated. When the wind came stronger the place got very cold and I profited that moment because it was a very hot day. I can’t see any animal. I supposed that they were sleeping profiting the moment just like me.

Moments like that are the moments that make me feel relax and more concentrated on my works and personal problems. I like to have a lot of moments like this one because I’m a person that thinks a lot and that is the perfect moment and way to think like I like to think. I hope that I’m not the only person that thinks and profits from these moments in Puerto Rico. Help Puerto Rico to steel green and to have these “Flora” for a lot of years.

My Green Place

Another day in my green place. Everyday that I come here the place looks more beautiful and I see a lot of new things that I don't see before. Today the birds sing like singers, a beautiful song like a orchestra. The birds that I see are the "pitirre", "ruizseñor" and a another bird that is black with a orange stripe very beautiful. Lizards? Uff... many of them, brown, green and camo with different sizes. Here you can see the lizards eating bugs. You can't see the sky because the tops of the trees are covering the sky. Every second the trees loose the leaf, the soil is covered by leaf. The air is more cold here. This place is like other world for me.

My own Forest

I am here in my forest, is not a forest but I call it forest. I walked for like five or seven minutes from my house, and I'm here: in my forest.
I'm still walking on a short road with a lot of "piñitas" the "piñitas" are raining from the sky of tall trees. Here only are pines, to many pines, I can't count them. I can't see spiders, lizards or the other animals that are allways around the nature. The smell is like christmast it gaves me joy.
The sunset looks beutiful from here.

Back to Nature

I'm sitting on one of the roots of Flamboyan. The sky is clear. From here about 70 are scattered and of different types.
Now if look ahead at the distance is about 5 houses in the neighborhood so I don't really love the idea of having to think that in 10 years but will not be anything green around here and this can be transformed into a residential development. We most appreciate what we have to live somewhere and we're used to the comfort but you must learn to live in harmony with nature.

Nature peacefulness

Here from where I'am I can observe a great part of my wilderness place from here I can calculate the number of trees that suround me. There are two grapefruit, one of lemon, one of mango, small plants of green peas, I believe there are six. There are also orange trees about three and various banana plants I think they are seven.
As time passes on I can think and meditate about my life. I'm in deep tought and out of no where I'm thrown back by a noise, it's an iguana. I jump, look a bit and I'm calm down. I sit down again konowing that I still have plenty of time left but once I start to enjoy the moments I spend surounded only by nature it self and it's stillness. I listen closely and I can hear every now and then the wind and I feel its pureness that feels my interior.

Nature and I

When you arrive, the first thing you see is a huge red Flamboyan. When they reached it, we see everything from there, hundreds of trees, different types of flowers and in the distance might be seen about two or three cows.A little below there is a small river, that can be heard clearly from here.

Be without any kind of communication is a liberating feeling, it also make you open your mind to think things that usually do not think for lack of time or just don't think it's necessary.

Green Nature

I breathe peace! I observe my surroundings and everything is green. Their is an enmense varity of shades of green: green/yellowish, dark green, banana tree leaves, tall tree with small dark green leaves and on top of them new growth of lighter tone.
Their is a creek that runs through the area, it is a small creek with little volume and intensity of water but I can still hear it's water runing. Their are trees that have fallen because their roots have given way by erosion and the passing of time.
